July 12-15, 2010, that roundball compass is pointing right back at the state that have given basketball so much. Michigan was without an NCAA certified event last summer, sending its talent far and wide with the likes of Team Detroit winning the Reebok Summer Championship in Las Vegas. Into that void, the Great Lakes Summer Championship has emerged, delivering back to Michigan an NCAA certified event. Elite teams such as Team Detroit have already entered the Great Lakes Summer Championship, putting it on the line against the best talent from the Midwest and beyond in an inaugural tournament that will be a valuable stop on the recruiting trail.
